I am the office manager, and prior to my current position I was the county Master Gardener Coordinator for 9 years. As Master Gardener Coordinator, there was no typical day—and that's what I loved about the job! As the office manager, a typical day might involve helping others in the office with navigating either County or UC administrative procedures, in addition to myriad interesting projects related to the administrative side of Cooperative Extension in Sonoma County.
|Most Memorable Moment||
There are many memorable moments, but at the top of the list would be the numerous connections and friendships that I've made with many of our Master Gardener volunteers.
|What I love Most About Working for ANR||
By far the thing I love most about my job would be the many friendships that I've made with Master Gardener volunteers.
My job with UC Cooperative Extension in Sonoma County began in December of 2004 when I was hired as the part-time Master Gardener Coordinator. I had just completed the Landscape Design Certificate program at Santa Rosa Junior College, and I happened to see a job for the Coordinator position posting in the local newspaper. I was offered the job, much to my surprise and delight. Then a few years ago I had the opportunity for promotion, into my current position as office manager.
