Pre-Physical Therapy student in college. I worked as a Physical Therapy aide for 5 years interested in a career change.Student out of college looking for a career position related to Kinesiolgy-Exercise Physiology. In 2005, I was hired as the Physical Activity Coordinator for Network for a Healthy Ca. formerly known as the 5-a-day program at UCCE in Fresno County . The position was brand new. What I enjoyed most about the position was being able to work with the state office to set guidelines and foundations for the position. Working with organizations to provide physical activity and resources and training's was appreciated by the organizations who lacked these resources. In addition to my role as the Physical Activity Coordinator, I also assisted the state in gathering data, documentation, and kicking off the pilot Worksite Wellness Program.Over the years, I learned that I enjoyed my job most when I am allowed to explore new ideas/projects/opportunities related to research, evaluations, analyzing outcomes.
