Location

Title
Youth, Families, and Communities Advisor
Time with ANR
2 years
Typical Day
My priority areas include Positive Youth Development and Nutrition and Family and Consumer Sciences. That is, I oversee the UC 4-H Positive Youth Development Program and the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, among other things. The joy and challenge of my job is that there is no such thing as a typical day. But one of the constants of my job is problem solving. Sometimes that happens at the individual client or volunteer level, sometimes at the community level, and sometimes at the agency/organizational level. On rare occasions I do engage in research. Over time I hope that the research time will increase and the problem solving time will decrease.
Most Memorable Moment
Hmmm, a bit early in my UCCE career to have something stand out as prominent.
What I love Most About Working for ANR
The connections: me with the community, the community with UCCE, me with UCCE.
My Story
The possibility/opportunities to do community programming, research, and policy work.
