My Story:

I graduated from UC Davis, so I have a huge sense of pride being an Aggie alumni. So, after completing my Master’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion and moving to Chico, California, with my spouse, it seemed a no-brainer to apply to an organization affiliated with my alma mater. Initially as a nutrition educator, and now a project coordinator for a childhood obesity grant program, I feel that UC ANR has given me the opportunity to enhance and acquire new skills and knowledge that will benefit my future personal and career self.

For 100 years and counting, UCCE researchers and educators have worked together with local community members to develop and provide science-based information to solve economic, agricultural, natural resource, youth development and nutrition issues. Some of our programs include 4-H Youth Development, Master Gardeners, Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, and the Integrated Pest Management Program.
